It may be your belief that everyone should be Christian and there is nobody aloud to be aboriginal or any other culture for that matter. That is racist and doesn’t need to be that way, especially with all the assimilation. Hitting or abusing children can end up with you behind bars, and you don’t want that. Also, people have a right to speak their own language from their home country and believe in their own religion, weather it be Christian, first nation, or anything, it is absolutely fine. So in your school you should let your students have a chance to speak freely in their own language, and reflect on their own religion or country. Not just brainwash them into thinking that Christian is the only allowed religion, that English is the only language they can speak, that their country is only Canada, weather they come from the east coast north coast west coast or south coast it doesn’t make a difference, what makes a difference is what they grow up to become. Growing shouldn’t be painful, stressful, or scary, it should be learning, growing, exercising, and playing. Not fear, irony, and stress.

Pain is not a fun thing or a good thing, so consequences are usually painful they are unneeded and should not be hitting strapping or abusing students. Other sources of consequences could be cleaning whiteboards (or blackboards), staying after school for a small amount of time, or just being put in a corner
